Yesterday, during an unexpected day off (even better than the scheduled sort…rather like a sick day without having to feel like crap) I discovered the wonder that is the Rise Productions ‘Irish Theatre Podcast’. Currently on Episode 3, this podcast is led by the wonderful Aonghus Óg McAnally, who talks to a different theatre-maker each week: so far, guests have included actor Peter Daly, Phillip McMahon of THISISPOPBABY, and director Aoife Spillane-Hinks. Well worth a listen!

For something a bit different, listen to Fuel Theatre’s ‘Everyday Moments‘ series. Currently on number 11 of 12, the episodes are created once a month, each time by a different artist- from theatre-makers and poets to composers and comedians. They are designed to be enjoyed at a particular time and place.

Other theatrically minded podcasts include The Stage; and Spotlight, which has a good ‘how to’ series. I will keep a look out for any more, particularly when my laptop lets me have iTunes again (he is being a little difficult at the moment) but let me know of any suggestions you may have.
