Day Four in the JB house…

It is incredibly exciting to think that we are three days and 9 performances into the Festival already. Nine days and 42 performances left I believe.

I Was An Emperor is really getting its groove on now, and last night was particularly exciting with some of the Crowe family in the audience. I actually can’t wait to hear ‘Dancing in the Dark‘ and ‘Video Killed the Radio Star‘ every night.

There’s only one more chance to watch our lovely Block One shows: Trainee, The Seeds, and The Lost Art of Not Blinking. Yes I am biased, but I’m having a great time and I think the audience are too, as seen by the stunning review of Trainee on Le Cool. So come along on Saturday at 6.30 to get one last look into the woods, past the shop, and through the wax works.

Today we’re diving into Block Two for the first time with The Fact of the Matter, Shrewsbury Road, Gloria and Fragmented, which all look to be wonderful shows. Then of course we are going hardcore on Saturday with the chance to watch all 7 wonderful shows from Week One (there will of course be plenty of time between blocks for you to seek sustenance or just take a trip to our bar); Day Passes are available from entertainment.ie and on the door before the first show. And after that, we have a whole 2nd week of new shows for you!

So far we have had stunning audiences (thank you all for coming along) and we look forward to seeing more of you over the next week and a half. We’ve had a mention in Le Cool, and on 2XM Culture Cafe; but we’re still young and we’d love you to spread the word so we can continue to grow, and we can share all our lovely shows with the world. If you see something you like, or hear about something you like the sound of, why not pass it on, or bring a friend who might not have come otherwise!

It’s lovely to look forward to going into ‘the office’ everyday, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the festival brings. I hope we’ll get to share it with you too.
