A little cultural inspiration

Somehow, it seems to be June already. I hope you’re having a wonderful year so far, but just in case you have reached the mid-point and feel like you haven’t achieved enough yet, here are a few suggestions to help give you a little inspiration, so you can live life to the full:

Theatre: Glengarry Glen Ross (Gate Theatre 7.30pm / 2.30pm matinee)

Exhibition: NCAD MFA & ADW Grad Exhibition (Steambox, School St, Dublin 8)

Film: Ooh La La: Watching Wes Anderson (IFI various dates)

Workshop: Loose Canon (18th-22nd June, 10am-4pm, 150 euro)

Podcast: Rise Productions Podcast (Every Thursday)

Course: Fishamble Playwriting Courses (Run by Gavin Kostick, various dates – I’m just coming to the end of one and it’s been great … well worth it)

Festival: 10 Days in Dublin (5th till the 14th July)

Book: The Crafty Art of Playmaking – Alan Ayckbourne (Fascinating for writers, directors, and fans)

Or: Blow up a Balloon, Make a Sandcastle, Write a Story, Draw a Picture, Read a Newspaper, Phone a Friend, Blow Bubbles, Visit a Gallery, Go to a Gig … and do the things that are still lurking warily on your To-Do List, or New Years Resolutions.

GO!
